Building a first project had been on my list for a while. Not for "portfolio building" reasons, but for actually learning how to build something from start to finish. But here's the thing, whenever I think about building something, my brain automatically goes, "Okay, but is this going to be as messy as professional codebases?" Except I've never seen a professional codebase, so I'm just guessing. It's like having an imaginary senior developer living in my head, constantly judging me.
